HHGTTGOnline.com "Dress The Part" Contest

http://www.HHGTTGOnline.com/contest

HHGTTGOnline.com is giving away MORE FREE BOOKS! That's right, we'll be giving away up to 5 free copies (1 book per 100 entries, up to 5 books total) of your choice of any of the 5 books in the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series. (Omnibus, special editions, etc. are not included because I'm poor and this contest is coming out of my own pocket...)

What's the catch? The contest is only open to people who upload a picture of themselves (and/or their friends, with permission of course) wearing a bathrobe and/or towel (or otherwise dressed as a HHGTTG character) to the HHGTTOnline.com image gallery in the "Fan Pics" section.

That's right. This is in support of the rapidly growing "Wear a bathrobe on Opening Day" campaign, though the contest extends until Monday, May 16th, thereby giving you three full weekends to get to the movie in your bathrobe and/or towel.

You may enter as often as you like. Rules and conditions apply, legal mumbo-jumbo, you agree not to sue me, etc. Everything you need to know is on the HHGTTGOnline.com "Dress The Part" Entry Page.

Spread the word. Seriously. Not only is this an ultra-cool promotion for the site, but the more people we get involved with the "Wear a bathrobe on Opening Day" campaign, the more media attention it will draw, which will mean more ticket sales, which will mean that Disney will be far more likely to make some sequels! Wearing a bathrobe for a day seems like a small price to pay for the chance of getting "Restaurant" made into a movie, wouldn't you say?

Today's daily dose of media coverage...

First... Headline from today's Financial Times:
Disney considers picking up more Hitchhikers

YAY!

And in oddball, but related news:
Have lawn mower with "42" painted on the side, will travel...

On a side note... I had about 3 more links to go in today's update when my browser decided to act up. Blogger and IE isn't always a friendly combination. Grrrr... So, that's why everything is being published so late today. Blame Blogger. :/

Note that some of these may be the same articles as from recent days... A lot of the media sites share stories after they've run them as exclusives for a day, etc.
